We ship these with a protective backing on your sign to minimize scratches and smudges during packaging and shipment.
The film on our acrylic is generally brown, but can occasionally appear clear or blue.
We recommend keeping the backing on your sign and only removing it just before you are ready to display it. To remove, start from one of the corners of the sign and lift up a piece with your fingernail, peeling it against itself (see video below). Sometimes it can be difficult to get started, especially if you have acrylic nails, but once you have a small piece lifted, the rest should peel right off. If you are having difficulty getting it started, tweezers can be helpful!
Once your protective backing is removed, we recommend using cleaners approved for acrylics, specifically no harsh cleaners.
